When it comes to innovation and cool technology, Toshiba is a reputed name. When I started searching for a good portable hard drive for official work, quality was the first thing on my list. At the same time, I also started searching for something which will be affordable as I did not want to spend much for my portable hard drive. Then I came to know about Toshiba 320 GB portable hard drive. I have quite mixed feeling about this product. I won’t say this is bad, but I personally feel that a few changes can simply make this product great. In this review I am going to discuss about that, and hopefully this will help others to take decisions more easily.

320 GB Portable Hard Drive from Toshiba

I am starting with the negatives first. Then I will come to the positive aspects of this hard drive. This is quite a slow hard drive. When it comes to transferring documents through the USB 2.0, it never happens quickly, but Toshiba 320 GB takes a lot of time. Whenever I am in hurry, I do not have so much time to spend on a small file transfer. I don’t know why the manufacturer simply overlooked this problem. We purchase hard drive to make our work easier, and not to create hazards. I have previously used buffalo, and the speed was better in that. But yes, apart from this problem I can talk about all the entire positive points about Toshiba 320 GB portable hard drive.

The software and utility package is brilliant. The applications are easy to install and the drive is user friendly. I never faced any connectivity problem in it, and irrespective of what am using, a desktop or laptop, it works efficiently. I have installed one password locker in it for the security. The audio and video files can also be stored in it without any problem. I have also installed iTunes in it. I am having fun using it. This is one useful portable hard drive from Toshiba and I hope the speed problem will be fixed in the near future.
